This Sunday...

In one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history, a masked gunman opens fire on theatergoers at a midnight movie killing 12 and injuring 59 in Aurora, Colorado. Police have the alleged suspect, James Holmes, in custody and a law enforcement source tells CNN that all the weapons were purchased legally in the last six months at sporting good stores in the Denver area. We’ll have the latest on the investigation and an update from Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper.

Then, as the movie theater massacre puts the presidential campaign on hold we’ll talk to Senator John McCain (R-AZ) about the shooting, the unraveling of the Assad regime in Syria, and Mitt Romney’s upcoming overseas trip.

Then, the high stakes battle for control of the senate with Virginia Senate Candidates Republican George Allen and Democrat Tim Kaine. We’ll have highlights of the debate and interviews with each of the candidates.

David Axelrod is the president’s top campaign strategist, and he is our guest this Sunday on State of the Union. I’ll ask him if the Secret Service scandal will distract from the President’s re-election message, and what the latest economic warning signs mean for the President’s chances in November.

We also have an exclusive interview with Florida’s Republican Senator Marco Rubio. We’ll talk about his party’s outreach to the Hispanic community and speculation that he might be Mitt Romney’s pick for Vice President.

Rep. Elijah Cummings will be here to give us the latest developments in the Secret Service prostitution scandal. He’s the ranking democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform committee, and although they’re letting the Secret Service take the lead on the investigation, they DO want answers.

We’ll round out the show with CNN’s Senior Congressional Reporter Dana Bash and Jeff Zeleny of the New York Times.

This Sunday on State of the Union...

With the 2012 presidential race in full swing, we’ll preview Tuesday’s Florida primary where the GOP contenders are fighting for the top spot in the winner-take-all state.

First, Candy sits down with Presidential Candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul who is bypassing the sunshine state.  Nonetheless,  Paul is still polling at 14 percent behind Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich.   What's his strategy? We’ll ask him.    

Then, Candy talks to Florida Governor Rick Scott, a conservative Republican who still hasn’t endorsed a candidate; which candidate best fits his state now and in November?

Plus, Sen. Mitch McConnell reacts to President Obama’s State of the Union speech.  We’ll talk to the senator about his plans to get Americans back to work and whether he thinks the payroll tax debate will be resolved.

 And finally,  which party better suits Latino voters?  We'll have a debate with Carlos Gutierrez, a former Bush commerce secretary, and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, an Obama supporter.
