Pelosi: I Expected a Double Standard

Minority Leader and former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi says in an exclusive interview with CNN’s Candy Crowley that she’s developed a “very thick skin” to combat negativity in the media and to deflect political opponents. Even as former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton laments of a media double standard for powerful female politicians verses their male counterparts, Pelosi says although the landscape is changing, she’s never expected anything else except a double standard.

From Pelosi’s placing of responsibility for the CIA’s questionable “enhanced interrogation techniques” with former Vice President Dick Cheney to her stance on the recent Supreme Court decision on political donations, tune in to CNN on Sunday at 9am and 12pm for the full interview.

Here’s a sneak peek of our one on one with Nancy Pelosi only on State of the Union.
