Tom Bettag - Executive Producer
"I am thankful that I have a home, a job, and enough to eat. Far too many people don't."
"Our Thanksgiving tradition is the same meal that has been served by my bride and her sister for almost every year for forty years."
Cody Combs - Production Assistant, Reliable Sources
"I am thankful to be healthy and in a great workplace where I get the opportunity to work with dedicated and passionate people."
"Thanksgiving tradition: I usually go on a brisk Thanksgiving walk every year."
Amanda Costello - Coordinator, State of the Union & Reliable Sources
"I am thankful for my wonderful, loving fiancé; my amazing, supportive family; and my absolutely fabulous coworkers. I am also thankful for frozen margaritas to help me deal with them all when I can't take it anymore."
"My tradition... my fiancé and I go to my parents' house in New Jersey for Thanksgiving and, perhaps more importantly, Black Friday. After gorging on my mom's delicious cooking, we stay up all night playing video games in order to keep ourselves awake so that we can partake in the early morning retail madness. Sometimes we don't even buy anything, we just enjoy the people-watching it's like going on Safari, but slightly more dangerous."
Candy Crowley - Host, State of the Union
"I am thankful for my children; politicians who return calls; my mom; politicians who actually answer the question; my friends; press aides who know enough not to ask what the questions are; Lake Michigan; an amazing, talented and (most of the time, I think) happy staff; show guests who arrive on time; men and women who serve and protect; my job; Amtrak; my brother and nieces; politicians who go off talking points; The Great Barrier Reef; coffee at 430am Sunday; Piha Beach and so many other things."
"My family tradition was always in the same meal, year after year, eaten on the good china, good silverware, by candlelight, boys in coat and tie, girls in "Sunday" outfits. We have had lapses in the clothing category due to rebellion in the ranks, but don't tell my mother. The meal though has remained the same. Of particular importance is the Holiday "Salad" involving lime and lemon jello, cream cheese, whip cream and crushed pineapple. Do not ask, but it has been such a tradition that even the children who don't like the salad and never eat it, always want to make sure it will appear on the table."
Rick DiBella - Senior Producer, State of the Union
"I'm thankful for ... family, friends and the Americans serving abroad; both those in and out of uniform. And State of the Union's viewers and advertisers."
"My thanksgiving tradition ... digesting and watching football with my family."
Jordan Hultine - Associate Producer, State of the Union & Situation Room
"I'm giving thanks for my friends and family. Normally we celebrate Thanksgiving at my Grandma's house. However, this year I'm hosting the dinner in my tiny one bedroom apartment with my family and my fiance's family. It will be close quarters but I know it will be fun. I just need to figure out where everyone is going to sit! I'm also thankful for great coworkers on two of CNN's best shows!"
Ted Metzger - Senior Producer, State of the Union
"I am thankful to have a loving, supportive family; welcoming, generous future in-laws (including an adorable niece and nephew) ...and a blu ray player."
"My thanksgiving tradition: my brother always cooks a big dinner for 12+ people...and we rent 2 movies that have just come out and watch them back to back after dinner in a (turkey-induced) comatose state."
Steve Nannes - Producer, State of the Union
"I'm thankful for a wonderful family and good health."
"Our thanksgiving tradition ... my sister and multiple cousins always eat at my uncle and aunts. After dinner, while the "adults" are having their coffee, we would all gather in the living room, light a fire, and take turkey-induced naps... usually in one giant mass of bodies. Despite our plunge into adulthood, the tradition still continues."
Christy Pardue - Associate Producer, State of the Union & Situation Room
"I'm thankful to be blessed with the undying support of a wonderful family and incredible friends."
"My Thanksgiving tradition is four generations of my family gathered around one big table, all talking at once."
Mike Roselli - Producer, State of the Union
"I am thankful for my three nephews - who don't know this yet - but when old and feeble, I will be living in one of their spare rooms."
"As for tradition - there is always pasta on the table - and for 20 years a homemade pumpkin pie baked in a ceramic dish given to me by the mother of a long time work colleague - Carol Cratty."
Rachel Rosen - Producer, State of the Union
"I'm thankful for having family and friends close-by to celebrate the holidays."
"My tradition ... after dinner we each write an anonymous note expressing what we're thankful for. My brother reads them aloud and we guess who wrote what. It's become a source of pride to stump the family."
Jeff Rosetti - Senior Producer, Reliable Sources
"This year I am most thankful for my son... Jeffrey Joseph Rosetti... born in April."
"My Thanksgiving tradition usually involves trying to navigate the delicate balance between consciousness and unconsciousness that comes from heaping helpings of turkey, stuffing and wine. Mmmmm... wine."
Jessica Rummel - Associate Producer, State of the Union
"I'm thankful that my family is happy and healthy, that I have an enjoyable job (or that I have a job at all), that my wedding planning has not involved any implosions...yet, and that my future father-in-law is such a sweet man."
"Our thanksgiving tradition... well I'm usually working on Thanksgiving, but when I think of thanksgiving, I think Yams. And none of that marshmallow crap on top of it...Yams in their purest form are what really make me thankful. Also pumpkin pie. Not great for the wedding dress fittings, but worth it."
Rachael Shackelford – Production Assistant, Reliable Sources
"I'm thankful for my brother, Ray, who is younger than me, but my inspiration nonetheless. I'm thankful for the fun and open relationship that we have with our parents. I'm thankful for 2010... a year that has been filled with blessings in the form of new friends, new places and a new me."
"My Thanksgiving takes place in Florida, and our tradition is not really just on Thanksgiving Day, but more like Thanksgiving weekend. We go putt putt, then head off to get ice cream afterwards. YUM! My mom and I always make it to a certain Starbucks that is decorated perfectly and just feels like the holidays. We talk about everything until our mocha cups are dry and our slices of pound cake are gone."
Jeff Simon - Production Assistant, State of the Union
"There's a lot I'm thankful for this year in particular, but most importantly, I'm thankful for the continued health and well-being of my family and friends."
"My tradition ... Thanksgiving may be the only holiday that my entire family comes together for. The guys usually sit around the TV and root for the Cowboys to lose. I always hope that it's cold enough outside to warrant a fire in the fireplace. But mostly, I'm usually reminded of my past Thanksgiving tradition: running around the house with my sister and cousins, spying on the adults and enjoying every ounce of childhood excitement that comes with spending a day with loved ones I almost never see."
Kristi Slafka - Senior Editorial Producer, State of the Union
"I'm thankful for being able to spend time with my family and friends this holiday season. They make life much more enjoyable!"
"And as far as my favorite Thanksgiving tradition goes, I'm really looking forward to the eating." :&
Ellen Van de Mark - Tape Producer, State of the Union
"I'm thankful for my wonderful family and friends though scattered across the country... and a job that I truly enjoy."
"My Thanksgiving tradition... a full day of cooking. My family is usually far away, so it is a day of good friends, good food, good wine and lots of laughs. We cook everything from scratch... except the cranberry sauce. It isn't Thanksgiving without cranberry sauce from the can - ridges and all."
Tracey Webb - Producer, State of the Union
"I'm thankful for my family, friends, great group of co-workers and being able to live a pretty comfortable lifestyle."
"My thanksgiving tradition, watching football."
Natalie Apsell - Associate Producer, Reliable Sources
"I'm thankful for my parents."
"Our tradition is to have a ginormous over the top thanksgiving meal at my house and then sit on our arses for an extended period of time."
